Rescoll will serve as a medical use case provider in the SABYDOMA project.

Rescoll has developed a Polymer-Derived Ceramics (PDC) synthesis formulation for use in additive manufacturing technique such as Stereolithography (SLA) in order to achieve the right processability (stability, rheology and reactivity). Rescoll has thus a good knowledge of the printing parameters, photopolymerization process and optimal shaping resolution. The use of this formulation will be expanded to other different types of polymerization and application, such as coatings on titanium substrates. In-vitro tests will be performed in order to compare them to flow through release studies in the SABYDOMA project. SABYDOMA’s technology will introduce rapid, safe reliable online in vitro testing of dental implant biocompatibility. Most importantly, this will consolidate the safety testing of implant increasing end user confidence in the product so widening its use and its replacement of in vivo testing.
