SABYDOMA @EuroNanoForum 2021 & satellite NSC event took place 4th – 6th May

Under the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2021, this 2021 edition of the EuroNanoForum addressed , during the two days of the conference (5-6 May 2021), Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials as the key elements to guarantee the functioning, long term durability, safety, and environmental compatibility of many devices, machinery, and services, highlighting the fundamental role of advanced materials for the transition to greener technologies, and a more sustainable future, making a significant contribution to the ambitious goals set by the European Green Deal. Furthermore, the role of nano-enabled industries in the drive towards a green and resilient Europe was also enhanced.

The EuroNanoForum 2021 gathered a total of 3640 participants from over 140 countries, providing thousands of opportunities for networking and collaboration through almost 200 scientific posters, 17 exhibitors, five satellite events, and several hours of sessions about topics that the European Nanotechnology community is now even more empowered to intervene upon.

SABYDOMA was present of the EuroNanoForum 2021, co-organising the NMBP-15 joint booth, together with the other three NMPB-15 projects (ASINA, SAbyNA and SbD4Nano). The main aim of the booth was to arise the interest for SbD explaining the concept, its impacts in the society and bringing it closer to the community.

All 4 projects worked together in the booth showing their synergies and points in common. These identified Cross-cutting thematics of the Safe-by-Design NMBP-15 projects can be seen in the Joint Poster (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.4750137) prepared for the conference.

Furthermore, SABYDOMA presented a general poster showing its main goal, the project outcomes, its main stakeholders and their benefits.

Additionally, short pitch videos of each one of the four projects (SABYDOMA, SbD4Nano, ASINA and SAbyNA) were shown in the booth.

As a satellite event of the EuroNanoForum 2021, the EU NanoSafety Cluster organised the NSC event, on May 4th, within the framework of the ENF.

Under the title “The delivery/usability of S(S)bD for science, regulators and the industry”, SABYDOMA contributed to the session “Delivery from Science”, with a pre-recorded presentation about the project, showing the project’s key features, stakeholders addressed and their benefits. You can see SABYDOMA’S pitch video in our YouTube channel.

All videos presented during the NSC event are on the NanoSafety Cluster YouTube channel.
