The ASINA Project’s Exploitation Workshop, held on 22 September 2023 on the last day of the NanoInnovation 2023, on the premises of Università La Sapienza, was a great success. The event brought together key members of the ASINA Project as well as other EU-funded initiatives, creating a dynamic platform to exchange ideas, share insights, and explore the future of safety and sustainability of nanomaterials. During the workshop, ASINA partners showcased the project outcomes and market utility of their research, provided the audience valuable insight into how ASINA is advancing the safe and sustainable use of nanomaterials.

SABYDOMA, as one of the NMBP-15 sister projects of ASINA, as well as other related projects (SbD4Nano, SAbyNA and Repoxyble) participated in the workshop sharing the learnings on SSbD in industrial processes. Martí Busquets (from APPNPS in Barcelona) gave an oral presentation on the real-life transfer of a SSbD platform from UNIVLEEDS labs to an industrial partner, APPNPS, took place and explained how the coupling of ONLINE screening and characterization to a continuous-flow of production line of silver nanoparticles was performed.

This collaborative effort emphasized the shared commitment to promoting the safety and sustainability of nanomaterials, aligning with the current EU policy and industrial strategies. Discussions revolved around how ASINA and other prominent projects are actively contributing to the development of standards, best practices, and innovative solutions that will shape a safer and more sustainable future for Europe.
