SABYDOMA @OpenTox 2020

This year, the OpenTox Conference 2020 will virtually take place on 21st – 25th September 2020.

The purpose of the OpenTox Association is to promote the community-based exchange and use of open knowledge, methods, tools, data, reference resources, and standards including open software, ontology and application programming interfaces in the scientific activities of predictive toxicology, safety assessment and risk management, including the “3Rs” goal of the Reduction, Refinement and Replacement of Animal Testing

This edition will have a wide range of topics: Computational Toxicology, Integrated in silico and in vitro approaches, OpenTox Resources (open science, open data, open software), Drug Discovery, Cosmetics Assessment, Endocrine Disruption, Natural Products, Adverse Outcome Pathways, Data Science and Resources, New Algorithms and Methods, Machine Learning and AI, Testing, Kinetics, and Exposure Modelling, Risk Assessment, Safety Biomarkers, Translational Bioinformatics, Systems Toxicology, Investigational Toxicology, Tiered Strategies, (Multi-)Organ-on-chip Testing systems, Toxicokinetics, Toxicodynamics, Chemical and Biological Read Across, Toxicogenomics, Stratified Clinical Trial Design, Clinical Data Management, Real World Evidence, Text Mining Applications in Toxicology, AI and Patient Decision Making, Patient self-diagnostics, Patient Monitoring and Safety, SafebyDesign Product Development.

Yvonne Kohl, from the SABYDOMA’s project partner Fraunhofer IBMT, will give a talk on advanced miniaturized in vivo-like non-animal approaches for toxicity profiling and non-invasive cell characterization, in the session „Organ-on-chip testing“.

Philip Doganis, from SABYDOMA’s project partner NTUA, will be part of a poster session explaining how the Feedback Control will be applied to the Safety by Design of nanomaterials in continuous production lines, within the SABYDOMA context.
